Abstract

Life-threatening patients of different ages are cared for in the intensive care unit for children. These are children who require continuous care, a multidisciplinary approach and staff expertise. Healthcare for children is complex, specific and demanding.  The nurse stays with the patient twenty-four hours a day. Taking care of a sick child, caring for his parents, he provides them with support and understanding.
