Abstract

Emergency and critical care nurses face high job pressure, leading to burnout. This is linked to stressful work environments and a lack of effective prevention strategies. Studies show that education and proper work conditions can mitigate burnout, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing the need for comprehensive burnout prevention and support programs.  This edition of the International Journal of Critical Care targets this important and compelling topic.
